Our Location

Located on the corner of East Hastings and Campbell Street in the heart of Strathcona, Vancouver’s oldest residential neighbourhood, the new 12,000 square foot building provides a world class brewing facility, 67 seat tasting room, gourmet pizza kitchen and retail area selling exclusive apparel and brand collaborations.

Brewery

Designed and built by Specific Mechanical from Vancouver Island our brewing facility is a 25 hectoliter brewhouse with 5 fermenters and 5 brite tanks; each tank with a 5000 Liter capacity.

All the ingredients used to make our beers are fresh, of the highest quality and sourced from key regions from around the world. In addition to brewing beer, our facility includes equipment for house canning, bottling and kegging.

 

Open in July 2016 the brewery’s primary offerings concentrate on classic, international beer styles including a Premium Pilsner, Belgian Gold Ale, British IPA, Vienna Lager and several seasonal brews including a Saison, Dark Mild and Lemon Radler. Special cask brews and sours will be available for the summer of 2017.

Tasting Room

Patrons are able to sample beer in the tasting room, which will pour up to 12 rotating beer taps, top up their growlers at the in-house filling station or buy packaged products to go from the retail area.

The tasting room has a modern-industrial feel incorporating board form concrete, white fir bar and table tops coupled with neon reveals, a modern representation on the heritage of the neighbourhood.

PREMIUM PILSNER 5% IBU 32

A complex rich pale Czech lager, with considerable malt and hop character.
Well-balanced with a long, rounded finish.

 

STRATHCONA BEACH RADLER 4% IBU 15
A precise blend of lemon peel, fresh mandarin juice, and beer. A light effervescent beer that is thirst quenching and easy to drink with a tart, clean finish.

 

CHERRY HIGH ALE 4.2% IBU 22
An American Wild Ale made with Brettanomyces and sweet and sour cherries during fermentation. Highly carbonated with a light acidity, medium body, and dry finish.

 

BLACKBERRY BERLINER WEISSE 4% IBU 7
A bright, refreshing European Sour Ale that is moderately carbonated, light body with a mild, tart finish. A blend of fresh blackberry juice, wheat malts and oats that produces a beautifully balanced, light purple coloured beer.

 

VIENNA LAGER 4.2% IBU 60
Vienna-style lager, amber in colour with a subtle caramel and toasted quality. Subtle hop presence with a crisp, malt finish. An easy drinking, mildly carbonated, premium lager.

 

INDIA SESSION ALE (ISA) 4% IBU 60
A hoppy ale, akin to an IPA but lower in alcohol. Lighter in flavour, a summery sessionable ale.

 

STRATHCONA GOLD 6.6% IBU 32
Creamy strong Belgian ale, featuring soft malt tones with balanced noble hops.
Mildly fruity with a solid malt base of dried fruit and candied sugar.

 

STRATHCONA BRITISH IPA 6% IBU 60
Inspired by British old world ales and brewmaster traditions,
this IPA has subtle notes of dried fruit, citrus and spice.

 

NORTH WEST PALE ALE 5.1% IBU 55
Refreshing hoppy ale, golden amber colour with a balanced malt finish.
New world hops including Phoenix, Cascade and New Zealand Wakatu.

Food

Leading the pizza kitchen is Chef Alex Carswell, formerly of Pizzeria Barbarella, who creates a distinctive pizza menu along with an assortment of salads and snacks.

Apparel & Merchandise

Premium quality is at the core of all our products and brand, including our retail merchandise. Canadian made cut and sew fleece, reflective printing and embroidered New Era hats are a few of the quality merchandise items available for sale in the retail section in the Tap Room. Custom design is reflected in all our branded products from the design of the tap room to stickers, pins, bottle openers, growlers, beer glasses, flight boards and tap handles.
